Armour/Amour Series

In the Armour /Amour series,  historical garments such as lace collars and armour address ideas about the body, gender and vulnerability. The first referencing femininity, delicacy and decoration, and the latter alluding to strength and protection.  Within these transitions, the role of the flowers changes from surface decoration/scientific specimen to elements integral to the garment, and finally to more spiky threatening protection.   There is also a continuous shifting of gender within the two garment forms in which the masculine is feminized and at times, the reverse.
